A well-delivered media interview isn’t luck. It comes from preparation, practice and control.
Interviews provide an opportunity to set the agenda, tell your story, build your brand and differentiate yourself from your competitors.
In issues or crisis situations, an expertly delivered interview can make, break or change the direction of the story - and even the development of the issue or crisis itself.
Interviews are not be to be feared. Every spokesperson can improve and gain confidence with media training. I have trained successful interviewees on the likes of Sky News, BBC Breakfast, BBC Radio and ITV Evening News.
Bespoke media training
Media training is tailored to your organisation and goals. I will research your sector, your business, each delegate and the relevance of your organisation to the news agenda and topical issues of the moment, working closely with your communications team in advance to curate the session.
Content can include principles of great communication, miscommunication, messaging & narrative development as well as theory, tips, tools and real-world examples to apply. If you have an interview secured - we can practice and train that specifically.
I bring a professional cameraman to training to mock up interviews like the real thing and then playback so you can see the progression as we critique and refine throughout the day.
